Price Notches Career-High 15 as Chargers Win 3rd in a Row

Sophomore Faith Price (Springfield, Ill./Lanphier) scored a career-high 15 points and was one of four Chargers to reach double figures in the Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team’s 83-54 blowout at MacMurray JV on Monday night.
Price surpassed her previous best of 13 points, set Dec. 30 last season against Bryant & Stratton, as the Chargers (4-3) scored their most points this season and won for the third straight game.
Sophomore forward Kennedy Jackson (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) had a game-high 19 points and added six rebounds for Sandburg. Sophomore guard Hailey Lovetinsky (Overland Park, Kan./Spring Hill) scored 13 while recording career highs with eight rebounds and seven assists. Freshman guard Daryan Bryant (Gary, Ind./Thea Bowman Leadership) scored 10 points for her first double-digit night as a Charger.
Sandburg grabbed a 23-13 lead after a quarter and maintained its 10-point advantage at halftime, leading 40-30. The Chargers extended their lead to 60-44 after the third.
Courtnee Riley scored 13 to lead the Highlanders.
